VA Form 22-10271 – Veteran Rapid Retraining Assist
Among the outstanding packages in the American Jobs Plan is the Veteran Rapid Retraining Assist Program. This program was launched in January 2010. It is available to jobless veterans who are not qualified for the standard GI Bill.
The VRRAP was developed in cooperation with the Department of Labor. The VA will enter into participation agreements with educational institutions and incentivize them with a pay-for-performance model. The tuition rates vary by program.
